“Created by Gabriela Badillo, the exciting series of animated short films 68 Voices, 68 Hearts (68 voces, 68 hearts) retells indigenous tales narrated in their native tongues. Created in 2013 under the premise that no one can love that which they do not know, this series has produced 36 short films so far, with the goal to cover Mexico’s 68 linguistic groups, representing 364 linguistic variants in eleven linguistic families, including Otomi, Tohono O’odham, Huichol, Tarahumara, Nahuatl, Mayan, and Mixtec.”
